The objective of this consultative workshop was to present the preliminary findings of the study and to discuss the common problems faced by the service stations, leading to the failure in Best Management Practices.
The purpose of this workshop was to share the results of the study on “Hazardous Waste Management in Automobile Service Stations” which was jointly conducted by Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and GIZ –ASEM and also to share the “Statements of Stakeholders on Hazardous Waste Management and the Best Management Practices” in automobile sectors that would definitely avoid the environmental and occupational health risks |

The workshop included the inaugural session with welcome address by Sri.S.M.Puttabuddhi, IFS, Member Secretary, KSPCB, followed by the presidential address by Sri.A.S.Sadashivaiah, (IFS-retd), hon’ble Chairman, KSPCB, followed by presentation of the study by Ms.P.Bineesha, Senior Technical Advisor, GIZ, and release of poster on “Environmental Management of Automobile Service Stations”, and vote of thanks by Sri.D.R.Kumaraswamy, Senior Environmental Officer, KSPCB.
