Objectives

To strengthen the implementation of solid waste management and structurize the preparation of city sanitation plans. in the selected cities under JNNURM.
Preparation of a draft work plan for GTZ-ASEM’s support to the 6 ULB’s in implementing an efficient municipal solid waste management system
Identification of key stakeholders for the constitution of the City Task Force (under the City Sanitation Plan) and identifying other issues concerning sanitation in all 6 cities.

Expected results/impacts

Preparation of a detail timeline with the list of actions to be undertaken by GTZ for support to Municipal Solid Waste Management in the selected 6 cities.
Identification of key issues/challenges/stakeholders and list of preliminary data required for the preparation of the City Sanitation plan in the selected 6 cities.
