Sustainable Environmental Governance (SEG)
The objective of programmes and activities under this thrust area is to mainstream environmental concerns into policymaking and the development of guidelines for the other three thrust areas. The services include:
- Development of a model system for integrated environmental and economic accounting for Andhra Pradesh, to evaluate the natural resources and the costs of protecting the environment. This system provides environmental authorities the indicators for efficient utilisation of natural resources and promotion of sustainable economic activites
- Development of National level guidelines for "Common Hazardous Waste Incinerators" and "Environmental Sound Management of e-Waste in India".
