Consumer Protection in India
Strengthening Consumer Protection in India-with the objective of safeguarding the consumer interests in a more effective and efficient manner. The project is expected to lead:
- Best practices for effective and efficient services in the area of consumer protection, advice, and redressal in 3 states covering 100 districts.
- Improved consumer protection indicated y the established bench marking system.
- Effective and efficient legal metrology system.
For implementation of this project, GTZ has cooperation agreement with Physikalisch – Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany and with the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, New Delhi.
